The Erickson Award

The Rita Erickson All-Campus Participation Award is the only all-campus yearlong competition at IU. The competition places fraternities, sororities, residence halls and independent organizations head-to-head for bragging rights. The award is given each year to the housing unit that most fully participates in all IU Student Foundation events throughout the course of the school year. The victorious team is rewarded for demonstrating superior organization and a yearlong commitment to being involved in IU campus activities. The point system breaks down as follows:

IUSF Fall Cycling Series
Each housing unit/team is awarded 20 points per entrant in each event up to 6 participants per event. No competition points are awarded for the Fall Cycling Series.

IU Sing
Each Housing Unit is awarded 30 points for an IU Sing act. The top 5 acts in each division will receive competition points inversely. (1st place receives 5 points and 5th place receives 1 point)

Little Fifty
Each Housing Unit is awarded 30 points for each Little Fifty team. The top 5 teams in each division will receive competition points inversely. (1st place receives 5 points and 5th place receives 1 point)

Little 500 Qualifications
Each team will receive points inversely based upon their Qualifications placing (Pole Position receives 33 points and the 33rd team receives 1 point).

Individual Time Trial
Each housing unit/team is awarded 20 points up to 6 participants. Competition points will be awarded for the top 5 in each division (Sorority, Cream, Crimson, Residence Hall, Independent)

Miss-N-Out
Each housing unit/team is awarded 20 points up to 6 participants. Competition points will be awarded for the top 5 in each division (Sorority, Cream, Crimson, Residence Hall, Independent)

Team Pursuit
Each team will be awarded 30 points for their Team Pursuit entry. Competition points will be awarded inversely for the top 5 placing in each division (Sorority, Cream, Crimson, Residence Hall, Independent).

The Little 500
Each team will receive points inversely based upon their race placing (1st place receives 33 points and the 33rd team receives 1 point).
