Riders Council

Riders Council Role
Riders Council serves as the link between the mission of the IU Student Foundation and the needs of the Little 500 rider. It is the responsibility of Riders Council to ensure that the goals of both are met.

Riders Council Introduction
With some hard work you will find this to be a rewarding way to actively involve yourself in the Little 500. As a veteran rider your experience is invaluable to rider recruiting and education. We look forward to hearing your fresh ideas and witnessing your dedication to this great event. With your help, we can make this years Little 500 weekend special.

With this hard work, however, comes added responsibility. Riders Council members are selected on the basis of their commitment to the improvement of the Little 500. As a member of Riders Council you will need to put away the special interests of your team or yourself as an individual rider and work to promote the entire race. Riders Council members are leaders in the Little 500 community on the track, the road, and elsewhere. Keep this in mind and you will do well in your pursuit of a seat on this council.

Your Contribution
You will be able to contribute as little or as much as you wish. Riders Council is your opportunity to have a lasting influence on the Little 500. Not only can you provide IUSF Assistant Directors with input that will influence their decisions, you can create a new generation of Little 500 riders that will in-turn contribute to the event. The extent of your contribution is up to you.
