Membership Standards
Within the membership program there are two levels of membership: the first a RED membership and the second KHAKI. The goal of this program is to encourage RED members to take a step further and continue with their involvement in IUSF.

GMC’s (General Membership Calls)
GMC’s are opportunities for you to become involved and help out with IUSF events. These events are held throughout the semester and are open to all IUSF applicants regardless of your committee assignment. Attendance at GMC’s is required to obtain membership status. An example of a GMC would be working at events such as Blood Drive, IU Sing, Little 500 Series Events, Little 500, and many others. GMC opportunities will be announced either at your committee meetings or via email.
Foundation FUNdamental
Each member is required to attend a FUNdamental. These are short seminars given by IUSF Steering Committee President and Vice-President designed to inform IUSF members about our history and purpose.
Socials
Socials are an exciting way to meet fellow IUSF students that are not on your committee. There is no work done at a social, however, one is required. Socials include anything from movie nights, game nights, even ice cream socials and barbecues.
By explaining these basic requirements, we hope that you will have a clear understanding of how to become a member or enhance your membership in IUSF. We encourage you to attend your committee meetings, GMC’s, and other IUSF events this semester to get a better overall picture of the functions of this organization. Additionally, involvement in this organization is a great way to meet new, friendly people who like to have a lot of fun. We need hardworking, dedicated students with fresh, innovative ideas to promote the improvement of IUSF through the years. We hope this will be the best year ever at IUSF, and we hope that you will be a part of the fun.
